Kindness Week is Coming!
We are so excited for Kindness Week at Worthington Hooker School, happening October 27th-31st!

Our students and staff will be participating in daily activities to celebrate and support kindness throughout our school community.

Here's a look at what's planned:

Monday: Classroom Kindness Posters

Thursday: Acts of Kindness Classroom Challenge

Friday: Magical March and Kindness Awards

September 15th is Dot Day!

Every year on September 15th, art teachers around the world celebrate International Dot Day! Dot Day is inspired by Peter Reynolds's book "The Dot" and reminds us that everyone is an artist — all we have to do is try.

We will celebrate Dot Day by reading Peter Reynolds's "The Dot" and creating our own dot-inspired artwork to decorate the school. Make sure to wear your polka dots on Monday, September 15th!

Students in grades 6–8 are invited to join Worthington Hooker School’s soccer team, coached by Mr. Ritchel. Practices will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., and games will be held every other Friday beginning on September 26th. Games will run from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at schools and fields throughout New Haven, where students will compete against other NHPS students. The cost to participate is $400 for the year, with monthly installment options available. Registration can be completed by using the QR codes provided.
