We had a wonderful Family Literacy Night for K-2
A guest singer/rapper inspired creativity in Ms. Kegel’s classes
🎬 Our 8th Grade Cast Reveal brought big smiles and anticipation for Alice in Wonderland
The Grade 1 & 6 Buddy Activity strengthened friendships across grades
All in a week at WHS — where learning meets unforgettable!

Our K–2 Family Literacy Night was a huge success! 📚✨
Families spent the evening enjoying hot cocoa, cookies and reading together and identifying “Juicy Words”—rich Tier 2 vocabulary words that help deepen comprehension and spark meaningful conversations.
By the end of the event, we built an amazing list of juicy words contributed by our students and families! Our goal is to keep this list growing and to fill our school with juicy words we discover in our reading throughout the school year.
We are up for the challenge! Families also went home with new books and a notebook to keep track of juicy words that they find as they read at home!
