WHS Literacy Family Event: Breakfast & Books 📚🥞
We are excited to host three mornings of literacy, breakfast, and community! Each grade level is invited to join us at 180 Canner Street from 8:45 AM – 9:45 AM on their designated day:
Kindergarten: Monday, April 27
First Grade: Tuesday, April 28
Second Grade: Wednesday, April 29
What to Expect:
Enjoy a light breakfast, read together, and participate in fun activities designed to build strong literacy skills!

🎨 Save the Date: WHS Art Night 2026! 🎨
Join us for an evening of creativity and inspiration at our 2025-2026 Art Night! Students and families are invited to explore student artwork and get hands-on with crafts themed around famous art movements.

Where: Whitney Avenue Campus (Cafe and Gym)

This Saturday, our very own music teacher, Ms. Kegel, will be conducting as part of the Yale Symphony Orchestra's 60th Anniversary concert. Ms. Kegel has prepared the Greater New Haven Community Chorus to sing in Mahler's 2nd Symphony, and Mr. Parker will be singing as well! The concert is this Saturday at 7:30pm.

REMINDER: Join the WHS PTA for a fun morning on the ice before spring weather arrives! We have rented Ralph Walker Rink exclusively for the Worthington Hooker community. Students, families, and staff are all welcome.

Cost: Free admission! (Bring your own skates or pay for rentals at the rink).

We are excited to partner with a new downtown New Haven record store, owned by one of our WHS families, to support our Worthington Hooker School PTA!
On Monday, March 23, the store will generously donate 20% of all proceeds from the entire day to our PTA.
