Good morning!
We have exciting news regarding our Hispanic Heritage Parade. It will take place on Wednesday, October 15, followed by our culminating celebration on Friday, October 17, during which we will feature performances and food samples.
For our parade, we ask you to join us and celebrate/support our scholars. The parade begins at 9:30 AM sharp. Prior to that, you will position yourself along the street and on the bus loop (blacktop, located to the right of the school) so you can freely watch and cheer for our scholars as they march. Scholars will exit the school and head up Farnham Avenue and then make their way to the right side of the building. There will be signs to guide you on where to stand.
Scholars who have cultural attire or the designated colors for the assigned country are encouraged to wear them on the day of the parade.
Please come out and help make our first annual Hispanic Heritage Parade a success!

Celebrating One Month of School! 🎉
Today marked a joyful milestone as we celebrated one month since the start of the school year! Our young scholars were honored in a special gathering attended by school and State officials, who joined us to recognize the students' enthusiasm, growth, and commitment to learning.
Each student received a symbolic “return ticket,” promising to come back to school on Friday after enjoying a well-deserved holiday on Thursday. The event was filled with smiles, encouragement, and a shared excitement for the journey ahead.
We’re proud of our scholars and grateful to our staff and families for their continued support. Here's to many more months of learning, laughter, and success!

If you have signed your child up for the LEAP program and have NOT touched base with us for the bus update, please do so as soon as possible.
You can email jamila.jones@new-haven.k12.ct.us with your child's name and the location they will be attending the program. Please be advised that the bus update can take from 3 - 5 days.
Also, the new LEAP bus assigned to your child will be Monday - Thursday. On Friday, they will take their regular bus home. If your child is NOT going to LEAP on one of the assigned days, per transportation, they will need to be picked up from school. They will only ride their regular bus on Friday or on days that LEAP cancels the program.
Parents who are looking to sign their children up for LEAP can visit https://www.leapforkids.org/ for more information.
