November Reminder for Parents
Parents, please take a moment to read through this post. Important updates for November are included!
We are aware that it may possibly rain on Thursday which we are scheduled to have our Trunk or Treat event. But no worries we have figured out an alternative!
If it rains, we will move the event inside. Our Trunk or Treat will become a DOOR or TREAT! Participants will be able to decorate a door and it's surrounding area for families to walk through and visit, take pictures by etc.

We’re excited to invite all families to our Annual Harvest Walk on Friday, October 31st at 10:00 AM!
This festive event is a wonderful way for our school community to come together and celebrate the season. Students are welcome to wear costumes (please remember: no weapons or face masks for safety).
Let’s make this a fun and memorable day for everyone! We can’t wait to see you there!
🎉 A Fabulous Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at BOMUS🎉
What an amazing and unforgettable day! Our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration was a joyful tribute to culture, unity, and the incredible spirit of our students.
The true stars of the event were our Scholars, who lit up the stage with their energy, enthusiasm, and pride. Whether dancing, singing, or simply soaking in the moment, they brought life and love to every part of the celebration.
One especially memorable moment was when our students joined Movimiento Cultural in an extravagant Bomba performance. Their joy was contagious as they danced alongside the performers, embracing the rhythm and tradition with open hearts. It was a beautiful exchange of culture and connection that left everyone smiling.
We are so proud of our students and grateful to all the families and staff who helped make this day so special. Your support and participation turned this celebration into a truly fabulous experience for our entire community.

Have your scholar bring their favorite stuffed animal to hold while they read their favorite book!

I have attached a picture of our lost and found clothing basket which is located outside of the gym. The students know the exact location. If your child is missing an article of clothing, please remind them to check the basket.
¡Un Desfile Grandioso! Hispanic Heritage Parade Success!
What a truly wonderful day it was! Our Hispanic Heritage Parade was a spectacular and resounding success—a magnificent sight that filled us with pride.
The parade beautifully brought all different cultures together as one, and our scholars were simply brilliant! Dressed so beautifully in their traditional attire and proudly carrying the flags of different nations, the children learned so much about the rich histories and unique traditions of the Hispanic world. It was a memorable lesson in culture and community!
A huge, heartfelt and enormous THANK YOU to all the parents who came to the parade and who dressed up your children so beautifully! Your dedication and effort made this event a grand success and a testament to the beautiful community we share. We are deeply grateful for your support!

Celebrating a Great Start: Perfect Attendance at Our First Town Meeting!
What an absolutely amazing day! Our very first town meeting was a resounding success, filled with incredible energy and pride. We are ecstatic to announce that 135 of our Scholars earned recognition for perfect attendance! This is a truly remarkable achievement that sets a powerful standard for the year. We want to send a tremendous "thank you" to all our dedicated parents and guardians. Your consistent effort in getting our Scholars to school is the cornerstone of their success, and we deeply appreciate your partnership. A huge shout-out also goes to our fantastic staff for making our school such an engaging place to be. To our wonderful Scholars, congratulations on this accomplishment! Now, let’s aim even higher; we strongly encourage every Scholar to strive for perfect attendance so we can increase our presence and celebrate an even bigger number at our next meeting! Let's keep this wonderful momentum going!
Indigenous Peoples' Day: School Closure
A friendly reminder to all parents and guardians:
Our school will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day. There will be no school for scholars on this day.
We encourage our families to take this time to learn about and honor the history and diverse cultures of Indigenous Peoples.
Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
