Dear Conte Families,

We hope you and your family had a restful weekend. As we return to school this week, we want to share an important reminder: state testing resumes this week for students in grades 3–8.

We know our Conte Lions are ready, and with your support at home, we can set them up for their very best performance. Here are a few simple but powerful ways you can help:

✅ Rest — Make sure your child gets a full night's sleep each evening during the testing window.

🍳 Breakfast — Send your child to school with a healthy meal to fuel their focus and energy. Breakfast is also provided here at Conte for all students.

⏰ Arrive on Time — Punctual arrival ensures your child has time to settle in, get comfortable, and begin the day with confidence.

We believe deeply in every one of our students. They have worked hard all year, and this is their opportunity to show what they know. Please remind your child that we are proud of them not just for their scores, but for their effort, their growth, and their determination.

Especially during this Teacher Appreciation Week, it would mean the world to our teachers to recognize their success.

To all of our Conte Lions, we are cheering you on every step of the way. Go out there and shine! 🌟

🦁 What an amazing SBA Pep Rally! 🎉 A big thank you to the Hillhouse Marching Band for bringing the energy, the Conte Cheerleaders for keeping the crowd pumped, and all of our students and staff who participated in the fun Student vs. Student and Teacher vs. Student activities! 🥧 One of the highlights of the day was our Pie in the Face Fundraiser! Congrats to our top 3 teachers who took one for the team and got pied! ⭐️ Now it is time for our students to shine! We are wishing all of our Grade 3-8 Students the very best as they take on SBA testing this month. Stay focused, do your best, and show what you know. We are cheering you on every step of the way! 👏 📚

Get ready to show your school spirit! 🎉 Next week is SBA Prep Spirit Week (April 27 – May 1), and we are bringing the fun while getting our minds ready to shine! 🌟 🧦 Monday: Crazy Sock Day – Don’t get cold feet! 😎 Tuesday: Wear Sunglasses – The future is bright! 🦁 Wednesday: Wear Conte Apparel – Show your pride! 🎩 Thursday: Hat Day – Get your head in the game! 👗 Friday: Dress to Impress – Dress for success! Let’s build excitement, boost confidence, and support one another as we head into testing week. We cannot wait to see everyone’s spirit! 💙✨

🥧 Get Ready to Get Messy, Conte Crew! 🦁 This week, we will be launching a Pie in the Face Fundraiser for our upcoming SBA Pep Rally! How it will work: 🫙 Jars featuring the faces of our volunteer staff members will be carted around during crew. 🗳️ Students in Grades 3-8 and staff can drop donations into the jar of the staff that they would most like to see get “pied”. *Please note: If you choose to use Cash App or Venmo, please include the staff member’s name! 🥧 The TOP 3 staff members with the most money raised will get a pie in the face live at the SBA Pep Rally! 🥳

💻 Marking Period 3 grades are now available to view on Power School. 🏫 Please note that there are no in-person report card conferences for Marking Periods 3 and 4. ☎️ If you have any questions about your child’s progress, please contact their teacher directly.

🌸 As we head into Spring Break, we want to wish all of our students and families a fun, safe, and relaxing week! This is a great time to recharge, spend time with loved ones, and enjoy a well-deserved break. 💛 ☀️We are so proud of all the hard work our students have shown! 📍Our crew had an incredible in-service day at Lost in New Haven, diving into our city’s rich story from 1638 to the present.
