Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School is proud to present the 2026 Visual Arts Senior Capstone Gallery Showcase, a culminating exhibition that celebrates the creative vision, technical skill, and artistic growth of our graduating visual arts seniors. This exhibition represents the final capstone experience for senior artists and reflects months of inquiry, experimentation, critique, and refinement.

Each student will exhibit 2–3 selected works in the gallery, while three students will present their full capstone portfolios live to the audience, offering insight into their artistic process, themes, and development. The showcase is guided by the CO-OP Visual Arts Team; Erin Michaud, Ryan Minezzi, Zach Chernak, Isaiah Providence, Chris Randall, and Aniko Horvath, whose mentorship supports students in developing independent artistic voices and professional presentation skills.

We hope you will join us for the Visual Arts Capstone opening on January 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM in our gallery space at the corner of Crown and College Streets (this is also the ONLY entrance to the space). The event is free to all, and light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to celebrate our senior artists and the powerful work they have created as they prepare for their next steps as artists, scholars, and creative thinkers.

A Message to the CO-OP School Community:

As we approach the winter break and the end of the calendar year, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our students, families, staff, and community partners for your continued support of Cooperative Arts & Humanities Magnet High School.

This season offers an important moment to pause and reflect on the work we have done together. CO-OP is a school defined by creativity, collaboration, and high expectations, and that identity is made possible through the strong partnership between home and school. Each day, our students engage deeply in both their academic studies and artistic practice, developing the skills, confidence, and voice that will serve them well beyond high school.

Throughout the year, our building has been filled with learning across classrooms, studios, rehearsal spaces, and performance venues. Students have explored challenging ideas, discovered and refined their talent, and shared their work with authentic audiences, demonstrating resilience, growth, and pride in their accomplishments. These experiences are central to our mission and reflect our belief that the arts and academics strengthen one another.

As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a focused and supportive learning environment, CO-OP implemented Yondr pouches this year. We have already seen a positive impact: classrooms are calmer, distractions have decreased, and students are more present in their learning and interactions with one another. We appreciate the partnership and cooperation of our families as students have adjusted to this practice.

As we look ahead to 2026, we are also asking for a renewed, collective commitment to thoughtful technology use; specifically, a shift away from routine iPad as a replacement for smart phones during the school day. While technology remains an important instructional tool, we are prioritizing deeper engagement, sustained attention, hands-on learning, discussion, reading, writing, and artistic practice. This shift aligns with our instructional goals and supports student focus, creativity, and well-being.

We are especially grateful to our families and guardians for your trust, encouragement, and ongoing involvement. Your support, whether through attending performances and exhibitions, maintaining open communication with teachers and staff, or reinforcing school expectations at home, plays a vital role in student success and in fostering a positive, inclusive school community.

As we enter the winter break, we hope this time provides space for rest, connection, and renewal for you and your loved ones. We look forward to welcoming students back refreshed and ready to continue their learning in the new year.

On behalf of the entire CO-OP team, thank you for being an essential part of our school community. We wish you peace, health, and happiness during this season, and all the best in 2026 as we continue this important work together.  We look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday, January 5, 2026!

Warm regards,

CO-OP Administrative Team
