CO-OP’s 9th Grade Theatre proudly presents The Day the Internet Died on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, with performances at 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM in the Black Box Theater at 177 College Street. Written by Ian McWethy and Jason Pizzarello and directed by Valerie Vollono and Sumiah Gay ’16, this production will showcase the energy, creativity, and talent of our freshman theatre students. As always, all guests should enter through the College and Crown Street entrance. Tickets are cash only. The 2:30 PM show is free for students and $10 for adults, and the 6:30 PM show is $5 for students and $10 for adults. Grade 9 Theatre Presents!
CO-OP students in Grades 9, 10, and 11 are invited to participate in the Lake Compounce field trip to Bristol, CT on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Students will depart CO-OP at 9:00 a.m. and return at approximately 5:00 p.m., and families should arrange for 5:00 p.m. pickup at CO-OP. The cost of the trip is $70 cash only, which includes admission, bus transportation, and this year’s all-you-can-eat private picnic. Permission slips are available on the wall outside of Room S417 and must be returned to Mr. Bella with payment. Space is limited, with 88 seats available, and students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis once a completed permission slip and payment are submitted. Senior Fundraiser 2026

Cooperative Arts & Humanities High School proudly presents Dance Springfest Performance on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 6:30 PM for one night only at the Shubert Theatre, 247 College Street, New Haven, CT. SAT Day for Classified Juniors – Thursday, March 26, 2026

CO-OP High School’s classified juniors in the Class of 2027 will participate in SAT Day on Thursday, March 26, beginning promptly at 8:00 AM. Students should arrive on time and bring their fully charged school-issued device for testing. Room assignments will be shared in Google Classroom, and testing tickets will be issued on the day of the exam. Students are also encouraged to prepare and practice in Bluebook in advance. We wish all of our juniors the very best as they show what they know on SAT Day!

2026 Yearbook!
Given the forecast for additional snow during school arrival times tomorrow morning, and because crews must continue the work of cleaning up after Monday’s blizzard, Cooperative Arts & Humanities Magnet High School (CO-OP) will be closed on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

All New Haven Public Schools will be closed. This includes all before- and after-school programs.

School Closed Due to Weather
As crews continue the work of cleaning up after Monday’s storm, Cooperative Arts & Humanities Magnet High School (CO-OP) will be closed on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

All New Haven Public Schools schools will be closed tomorrow. This includes all before- and after-school programs.

In addition, the CO-OP Open House originally scheduled for Tuesday evening has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date (TBD). We look forward to welcoming prospective students and families once a new date is confirmed.

We appreciate your patience as city and district teams work to ensure that roads, sidewalks, and school buildings are safe for students and staff to return.

School Closed Due to Weather
Due to the forecasted blizzard and anticipated hazardous conditions, Cooperative Arts & Humanities Magnet High School (CO-OP) will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026.

As a result of tomorrow’s inclement weather forecast, all New Haven Public Schools will be closed. This includes all before- and after-school programs.

Please also note that a citywide parking ban will go into effect beginning Sunday, February 22 at 12:00 PM (noon) and will remain in effect until lifted by the City.

Residents in need of off-street parking may use multiple free and low-cost options, including selected school parking lots, Yale University parking lots, and downtown parking garages. A full list of available parking locations can be found on the City’s website at:

School Closed Due to Weather

CO-OP families are invited to join a free Virtual Adult Financial Empowerment Workshop Series hosted by Financial Scholars.

The six-week series runs Tuesdays, March 3 through April 7, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Sessions will cover budgeting, credit, mortgages, investing, insurance, and college affordability.

The first 20 participants who complete all six sessions will receive a $250 contribution to their child’s 529 or qualifying education savings account. (One-time offer; past recipients not eligible.)
