  • Attention everyone.  The library will be closed today due to the Blood Drive.  Please do not send any students down to the library unless they have an appointment to give blood.  Thank you.  

  • Seniors, if you would like to go to the college fair at the Q House on October 29th, please be sure to turn your permission slip in to Mr. Nate in the Counselor's Office by October 17th.

  • Attention freshmen in the Health & Sciences Academy.  If you signed up for the SIM Lab, make sure you register on-line before October 17th.  Also, you must get your permission slip signed and handed in ASAP.  You can get your permission slip from your science teacher or Dr. Jalil in Guidance. 

  • Attention Junior Class.  According to the survey we will be running re-election for the class.  If you would like to nominate yourself for president, vice president, secretary, treasurer or historian please see Dr. Jalil in guidance.  You will have until this Friday.   

  • The monthly library contests are starting back up!  This month’s library contest is to write a two-sentence scary story.  Entry forms are available in the library.  The due date is October 30th by 2:15pm.  The winner will be announced on Halloween and received a $5 gift card to Dunkin’.  

  • Seniors, there will be a college fair at the University of New Haven on Thursday, October 9th. Over 100 colleges will be present, this is a great opportunity to meet admissions reps and explore your options. If you would like to attend, please see Mr. Nate in the counselor's office for a permission slip.

  • Are you passionate, energetic, and ready to show off your skills?  Then we invite you to try out for the Cheer Team!  Tryouts will be October 14th through October 16th from 2:30pm to 3:30pm in the auditorium.  To try out you must wear a white-shirt, black shorts and sneakers.  You must also have an updated sports physical and a completed Form Releaf.   

  • Attention please, please note that the Hispanic Heritage Assembly has been changed to November 7th.  If you are interested in helping during the assembly, we are looking for:

·      Students wearing soccer and baseball jerseys from Hispanic countries.


·      Students who want to perform soccer tricks on stage during the assembly.


·      Students who wish to wear school-appropriate traditional dress from Hispanic countries, such as Quinceañera dresses or other typical costumes related to Hispanic Culture.


We invite you all to attend a meeting with Mrs. De Rivas and Mr. Arevalo, on October 16th at 2:15 pm in room 320.

  • Attention Career PSAT Day and Senior Career Day is Wednesday October 15. All Freshmen will take the PSAT 9 Exam, all Sophomores will take the PSAT 10 Exam, and all Juniors will take the PSAT/NMSQT Exam. Seniors will have a Career Day full of various engaging activities on the first floor. Your advisors will receive more information regarding start times and exam room locations at a later time. To prepare for testing you should log into bluebook with your college board account and start taking practice tests. If you do not have an account or do not remember your log-in information, take time in advisory and create your college board accounts or recover your log-in information.  

  • Sports:  Today is the girls soccer senior night at Bowen field.  Come out and support!
