Starting July 24th until August 22, 2021 The YMCA Camp Mt. Laurel, 2705 Downes Road, Hamden, CT. NHPS students and families are invited to an all-day summer camp on Saturdays and Sundays. Enjoy swimming activities, arts and crafts, family hikes, nature exploration, wall climbing, ziplining, and more. Location: The YMCA Camp Mt. Laurel, 2705 Downes Road, Hamden, CT. Transportation by bus is provided, and students under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Superintendent’s Summer of Fun Fitness + Reading Challenge Continues TUESDAY, JULY 13TH, 2021, AT 4PM at Scantlebury ParkGovernor Lamont announced the CT Summer at the Museum Program.All children under 18 and one accompanying adult will receive free admission to over 90 museums throughout the state if they are a CT resident from July 1, 2021 - September 6, 2021.

The Boys and Girls Club of New Haven
The Boys and Girls Club and Solar Youth will collaborate to provide a fun summer experience for NHPS students who attend the West Rock Mash Up Camp. This camp will provide outdoor education, environmental stewardship, summer brain gain activities such as literacy hour, sports fitness clinics, music and performing arts, and Fun Fridays events. Boys in the Outdoors
Boy Scouts of America- CT Yankee Council
A 4 week Summer day camping program from July 5th – July 30th 2021 from 8am-4pm where students will participate in over 15 interactive experiments. This program will also provide a 7 day overnight camping experience for up to 40 7th and 8th graders from Wexler and Troup schools.
The Boy Scouts of America program offers a nationally developed STEM curriculum that will engage 40 children. The STEM curriculum provides hand on science experiments which promote critical thinking questions of why, what, why and when. The participation and comprehension of STEM concepts and ideas are a transferable skill which stimulates their interest on STEM and maybe utilize in school settings. This program will be presented at the Family Resource Centers located at Hill Central, Wexler Grant, Fair Haven and Brennan Rogers schools. For more information email@example.com
Boy Scouts Camp. The contractor will operate day and an overnight summer camp for 140 NHPS 21st Century students (70 from Wexler and 70 from Troup Schools). The Boy Scouts will offer a 4 week day camp and 7 day overnight camp, if the slots are not filled by Wexler and Troup students, the program is extended to students attending 21st Century programs at other NHPS sites. CT Violence and Intervention Program
This service will provide New Haven Public Schools students with positive behavioral interventions and behaviors and attendance. NHPS Summer program will include approximately 15-20 students who are currently on Juvenile Probation for serious violations within the community. The NHPS partnership with the CTVIP will support these students. CTVIP will engage students in individual and group social justice and restorative sessions, conduct regular home visits, assist in coordinating family and other supports to help these students to be successful during the summer and upon their return to school. The Green Peacock Corporation (formerly Body Workers)
The Green Peacock Corporation will lead physical and mental activities in the NHPS Summer of Fun programs with a focus on a Zumba fitness program. The Green Peacock Corporation will provide 22 sessions. 10 at King Robinson and 12 sessions in the community (4 at Newhallville Learning, 4 at Scantlebury Park, 4 at Cherry Ann Park) for a total of 22 sessions with up to 20 participants. Students Got Tale
The Monk Center for Academic Enrichment and Performing Arts
Students will learn to come together to perform R&B, inspirational, and jazz music. They will perform with a live band for the families of the community. The Monk Center will provide 24 days of summer programming (each session consists of 6.5 hours of programming) inclusive of academics and enrichment activities such as dance, music, arts and crafts and STEM for up to 30 students grades 1-8 at Davis School.
Our World, Care 4 Your Own
Our World will provide two hours of programming which will include arts and crafts, theatre activities, and health and wellness activities such as walking and cycling on the Farmington Canal. For more information firstname.lastname@example.org

The Little Scientists program will provide 25 STEM classes at Brennan Rogers and 25 at Davis Schools summer camps. Little Scientists will also provide 50 STEM classes at the Christian Community housing complex at 660 Winchester Avenue, which provides shelter for previously homeless families (total of 100 sessions). The STEM curriculum is innovative hands-on, mind-on, inquiry and practice-based. There will be a "Family Science Day" at each location.
New Haven YMCA Youth Center
The YMCA will provide summer student enrichment and family engagement activities such as pool/aquatic activities for the family, arts and crafts, family hikes, and more. This will take place at Camp Mountain Laurel on Saturdays and Sundays in July and August.

SORRY PROGRAM IS FULL Summer of Fun Pre-K Program at Wexler Grant School
If your child did not complete a full year of in-person preschool, THIS is the camp for him/her! Participating (3-5 year-old) students will receive breakfast, lunch & snacks, field trips, hands-on literacy, math and science activities, free weekly books, and a book bag filled with school essentials at the end of the program.
