Enchanted Learning is a website designed for PK-3 teachers.It provides searchable access to over 20,000 webpages on a wide variety of curriculum topics.It includes picture translation dictionaries for ELL students. Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators is a categorized list of sites useful for enhancing curriculum and professional growth. It is updated often to include the best sites for teaching and learning. Education World bills itself as "the educator's best friend". It contains lesson plans, links to professional development, and lots more! Blue Web'N, sponsored by SBC, is an online library of more than 2000 outstanding educational websites searchable by subject, grade level and format. Yale-New Haven Teachers' Institute The Yale-New Haven Teachers' Institute website features a searchable database of units created by New Haven teachers at the YNHTI summer workshops. A webquest is an Internet based learning experience for students. Search for webquests on this site, or create your own using the online tools. The Educator's Reference Desk organizes 2,000+ lesson plans, 3,000+ links to online education information, and 200+ question archive responses. You can search the AskERIC database of professional educational articles from this site. The Connecticut Digital Library (IConn.org) The Connecticut Digital Library provides access to thousands of periodical articles and on-line resources, including educational journals. You can access this site from school computers, but from home, you must enter a barcode from your public library card. The Big6: Information Literacy Webpage The Big6 is an information literacy model. Some people call it a metacognitive scaffold, or an information problem solving strategy. Developed by Mike Eisenberg and Bob Berkowitz, the Big6 is the most widely-known and widely-used approach to teaching information and technology skills in the world.
