Alphonso Diaz Day

Alphonso Diaz visited Sheridan prior to his retirement on October 1, 2005. He presented Sheridan with a variety of NASA artifacts. Mr. Diaz, an administrator for NASA, previously, was the head of the Goddard Space Center.
Students participated in a round table discussion. Students had opportunities to ask Mr. Diaz questions.Once the questions started the whole room was listening intently in amazement as Mr. Diaz gave some serious answers and some funny answers.The school news team broadcasted the whole show through out the entire school with every class watching. After the Q & A Mr. Diaz presented the school with a amazing artifacts from NASA (bottom right corner of picture). After that Mr. Diaz came and answered questions from classes. Everyone was amazed by his knowledge and understanding of NASA inside and out. This day ended out quite well.
