Superintendent Search On-line Survey Extended

The New Haven Board of Education leadership have initiated the start of the superintendent search process by developing mechanism to involve the public and educational stakeholders in the process.

“Throughout this process the board is committed to transparent collaboration with all stakeholders,” announced Darnell Goldson, Chair of the Search Committee. “To that end, a series of focus group meetings are being planned and an online survey portal is available for members of the public and all partners in education to weigh in on this search process and to help identify the necessary attributes for our next Superintendent of Schools.”

The results of the focus groups, survey and other elements of the process will help define and focus the work of the search firm and the Board of Education as it seeks to recruit and secure the employment of the best possible candidate for New Haven Public Schools.

“The New Haven Public Schools Board of Education is currently seeking an extraordinary, innovative Superintendent to lead the school system as it continues its pursuit of excellence,” said Board President Daisy Gonzalez, “the search process for the new Superintendent will be a nation-wide search designed to find the right leader for New Haven Public Schools.”
