Wilbur Cross International Students visit Ellis Island

On Wednedsay, May 18th, International students from the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences from Wilbur Cross took a trip to New York's Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Freedom Tower, with 50 students, led by Immigrant Children & Youth Program Coordinator, Robert Inahuazo and Cross Teachers' Alan Gibbons and Anthony Gomez.
These students and chaperones stepped back in time to experience the hopes, see the struggle and admire the perseverance of immigrants.  While learning about the past, it also acknowledged part of their own experiences being students who have also immigrated to the U.S. from Congo, Tanzania, Pakistan, Iraq, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and Guatemala.
