My Brother’s Keeper Community Canvass Press Conference

 
New Haven is aiming to be known as the “City that Reads” declared Mayor Toni Harp who wants to have at least 50 percent of cities students reading at grade level. The restorative justice team along with community partners are hitting the streets with more than 700 books donated by Scholastic and New Haven Reads this Saturday, April 11th @ 9 a.m. Community members and volunteers are being asked to meet at Lincoln Bassett School -130 Bassett St. Breakfast will be served by Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church. The canvass will promote involvement by parents in their children’s education providing resources to aid everyone in rising to the cause.
