Read Across America Day at NHPS!

In celebration of Read Across America Day also known as Dr. Seuss birthday volunteers from Yale-New Haven Hospital, Murtha Cullina law firm, New Haven Fire Department, New Haven Department of Police Service, and New Haven Public Schools gathered to encourage students of three BOOST elementary schools by reading some popular books by Dr. Seuss like “Green Eggs, and Ham”, “Hop on Pop”, etc.

This was made possible thanks to the sponsorship of various community organizations: Yale-New Haven Hospital, Murtha Cullina law firm, New Alliance Foundation, and contributions from New Haven Hispanic Firefighters Association. Special guest the Cat and the Hat was invited to portray reading as a fun activity for kids. This event emphasizes the importance of developing reading skills at an early age to ensure future success.
