Beecher Future Scientist Club featured in the News at SCSU

After school program, Beecher Future Scientists Club under the direction of educators Michael Kuszpa and Matt Erickson partner weekly with Southern Universities Koehler’s Secondary Science Methods. Going on three years the Southern students create hands-on science projects such as pulling DNA from strawberries, understanding static electricity, and engineering concepts. This collaborative partnership gives future educators the opportunity to experience the classroom setting before graduating and the students of Beecher are able to grasp the lessons of science and life. The solid relationship built between the Southern and a Beecher student is essential to ensuring the understanding of the basic principles of science and reinforces the local STEM education initiative. NHPS is proud of this collaborative effort to prepare our students for success.
