New Haven Independent features a $500,000 grant awarded to the City to prevent youth violence in New Haven.
 
 
Monday evening members of the Board of Alders, Mayor Toni Harp and State Rep. Toni Walker announced the city had received the grant money from the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch to continue its Youth Violence Prevention grant program comprised with over 20 organizations. These programs aid in keeping the students engaged and productive in their schools, lessening the threat of violence.
