Governor visits Truman School to highlight mentoring program

Students at Truman School got a special visit this week to celebrate the Big Brothers, Big Sisters mentorship program at their school.
Gov. Dannel Malloy, Mayor Toni Harp, Education Commissioner Stefan Pryor and Superintendent Garth Harries joined students and staff at Truman School to highlight the importance of mentoring kids in school. They also celebrated the work of the Governor's Prevention Partnership and important initiatives, like Boost! that help coordinate mentorship programs in our schools.
Thank you to the Principal Araujo, staff and students for hosting the event!
