NEW HAVEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS HOLDS CITYWIDE SCIENCE FAIR MAY 14 - 16 
 
Features 250 Projects on Subjects from Energy Sources to Food Chemistry

The New Haven Public Schools will hold its 19th annual citywide New Haven Science Fair from Tuesday, May 14 to Thursday, May 16 at Yale University Commons. The fair will feature the work of about 8,000 students from 43 New Haven Public Schools. Almost 700 of those students from Pre-K up through high school will present projects on a wide variety of subjects from energy sources to food chemistry.
 
 
Congratulations to all the students, educators, community members, and families for helping students see science as the key to their future!

The New Haven Science Fair started in 1995 with participation by seven schools, and has expanded to include   almost all schools in the district. It involves teachers, students, parents, volunteer mentors and judges, Family Science Nights, and support from the entire New Haven community. This year's New Haven Science Fair is sponsored by, Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, AT& T, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, CRISP (SCSU), Boehringer-Ingelheim Cares Foundation, The Dennis Bornick Fund, Fusco Corporation, Monsanto, New Haven Public Schools, Pfizer Inc., Science Park Development Corporation, and Workforce Alliance, Inc.  UIL Holdings Corporation: United Illuminating and Southern CT Gas, Watershed Fund of the Regional Water Authority, Yale University and is being administered by the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce.
