TITLE I PARENT WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY AT CONTE-WEST HILLS MAGNET SCHOOL

The New Haven Public Schools will hold its monthly Title I parent workshop at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16 at Conte-West Hills Magnet School.

Conte-West Hills Magnet School is located at 511 Chapel Street. The meeting will be in the school cafeteria, and refreshments will be served.

The workshop will focus on the district’s parental involvement policies as well as provide information on Title I services.

Title I is a federal program that provides disadvantaged students with tutoring and supplemental services in math, reading and sometimes other subjects. The program also offers parenting and life skill workshops for parents, as well as assistance in navigating the public school bureaucracy.

Parents are urged to attend the workshop to learn about the program and the many benefits that parents and students are entitled to.
