“This coming school year is a big one for our School Change Initiative.  This is where we begin to put the meat on the bones, so to speak”, said Dr. Mayo.  “These Principals will have to get their plans together quickly and start implementing them.  I have every faith in them and their abilities to lead these schools.”

Milivia Concas has been elevated to Supervisor of Psychological services for the district.  This position entails supervising 28 school psychologists across the district as well as aspects of the Special Education program.  As Supervisor of Psychological, Concas will also be involved in developing programs for students with special needs.  Concas came to New Haven Public Schools as a Bilingual Teacher in 1987 and became a Bilingual School Psychologist in 1995 where she remained until this new assignment.
