Shakespeare Class to Perform Hamlet
By Christopher Watson
Erik's Shakespeare class will be performing Hamlet March 15-18 at the Yale Gallery of British Art. There are 15 people in the class.
“It promises to be interesting show and think everyone will enjoy it,” Erik said.
Hamlet will be played by nine different actors and Ophelia is played by three. The reason for so many actors playing Hamlet and Ophelia is because the lives of these two characters are so complex that it can't be seen or played by only one actor.
The play will also feature snippets of interviews about students' personal lives. The reason for this is to relate students' lives to Hamlet.
“The class is very challenging in memorizing lines, but I'm also having so much fun,” said Senior Lena Onofrio.
The directors are John Hadden, Keely Baisden, along with Erik Good.
