How do I use the Server Down Utility and uploading the information?

Find your server down utility: Start: All Programs: Library.Solution: Circ. Utilitilies:

Open Server Down Utility

Enter your User name and branch number

You may check in books.

To check out books, you must have your student's barcode number. You can't look up their name.

When the server comes back up,

Use the Server Down Recover file which is labeled “sdrecvr” which is found in C:\Program Files\The Library Corporation\Library.Solution\Circ.

Double click on “sdrecvr.”

Log on to the system with your user name and password.

Hit the “Browse” button.

It should automatically show you UPLOAD. SD

Hit open

Make sure that the “Server Down Circulation File” radio button is chosen.

Push “Start”

The file should update.

Now you need to look at your error file. Go back to C:\Program Files\The Library Corporation\Library.Solution\Circ. You need to refresh your view of the folder by going up one level and opening it again. Look for the ServerDn text file. Open it and look for any problems.
