Video Production

The Broadcast Technology/Video Production course is designed to familiarize students with the basics of television as a mass communication medium.  Through a series of practical exercises students learn the fundamentals of script writing, camera operation, on-camera reporting and non-linear video editing. The hands-on approach of this course aims to expose students to the essential job responsibilities of the camera operator, writer, announcer, director, producer and video editor. Students work in groups to produce a number of video projects in a variety of genres.
