The Center for Fine Arts
The Center for Fine
Arts will encourage participants to develop a sense of creative expression and
aesthetic awareness. Students will
be able to demonstrate the basic processes and techniques in production and
exhibition. Through this fine arts
curriculum, students will explore a variety of career opportunities and develop
a life-long commitment to the arts.
The arts constitute a
fundamental component of education whose purpose in the schools is to develop
intuition, reasoning, imagination, and dexterity into unique forms of expression
and communication.
Study in the arts
enables students to experience ways we express feelings, create, communicate
ideas, and understand and preserve history, traditions, and culture.
Students learn to
identify, appreciate, and participate in the traditional art forms of their own
communities as well as gain knowledge of the fine arts in historical and
cultural settings.
It focuses on educating
students regarding the importance of fine arts in our global society.
It encourages the integration of all subject matter throughout the
curriculum.
Through the

Respect fine arts from various time
periods.
Ø
Expand the role of fine arts in our own
society, in other cultures, and expand the interrelationships among the arts and
of the arts to other disciplines.
Ø
Demonstrate the basic process and
techniques in production, exhibition, and performance in the fine arts.
This program will
feature small class sizes, to enable personalized instruction.
No previous art experience will be required to
enter this program.
