Welcome to Betsy Ross Arts
Interdistrict Magnet School

Betsy Ross serves 500 students from Grades 5-8, 350 from New Haven and 150 from surrounding suburbs.

On February 25, 2002 the arts magnet program at Betsy Ross opened in a new building designed as a creative arts school with specialized classrooms, display areas and performance facilities. The building is located directly off I-95 in New Haven making access easy and convenient.

Betsy Ross is a performing and creative arts middle school featuring the following:

  • Dance-Modern, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap
  • Instrumental and Vocal Music
  • Dramatic Arts
  • Visual Arts-Drawing, Painting, Photography, Video, Sculpting
  • Creative Writing
  • Staffed by Certified Teachers and Professional Artists

Betsy Ross has a Comprehensive Academic Program
