PROGRAMS/SERVICES Specialized Instruction Specialized Instruction is delivered by special education staff after they develop goals, objectives, accommodations and modifications that support access to a student's general education curriculum. Services maybe delivered part or full time focusing on maximum time spend with non-disabled peers (TWNDP). The support can be delivered in a regular education setting, a resource room or a self contained setting. BACK TO TOP Social Work Services Social Work Services are provided by school social workers. These counseling sessions may be individual or in a group. The services are based on goals and objectives developed at the PPT meeting, utilizing the student's present level of functioning in an educational setting. Typhanie Jackson is the Supervisor. BACK TO TOP Physical Therapy Physical Therapy is provided by physical therapist at the school and supports physical needs documented by assessments. BACK TO TOP Occupational Therapy Occupational Therapy is provided by occupational therapist who develop and implement goals related to educational needs in this area. Speech and Language Services Speech and Language Services are supported by Speech and Language clinicians and staff. The services are based on goals and objectives developed at the PPT meeting, utilizing the student's present level of functioning in an educational setting. Hearing impaired students are serviced by this staff. Dr. Glynis King Harrell is the Supervisor. BACK TO TOP Psychological Services Psychological Services are delivered by school psychologists, who evaluate students and identify their strengths and weaknesses in order for student service staff to develop appropriate Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Charles Cicerella is the Supervisor. BACK TO TOP Early Childhood Assessment Team Early Childhood Assessment Team (ECAT) supports students age 3 to kindergarten. This team evaluates preschool- aged children to determine if they qualify for special education services. Loretta King is the supervisor.
