About Us
Metropolitan Business Academy integrates business concepts and skills into all areas of its college preparatory education. Through an interdisciplinary approach, Metropolitan prepares students for further study in a wide range of business enterprises so students can compete in a 21st century global economy.
Students at Metropolitan Business Academy choose a course of study in one of four academic pathways. Academy of Allied Health and Science, Academy of Digital Arts and Technology, Academy of Finance, or the Academy of Law and Political Science.
These pathways are supported by the Center for 21st Century Skills and the National Academy Foundation. Students who choose an academy and complete its prescribed curriculum will graduate with a certificate in that specialized academic concentration in addition to a high school diploma.
Metropolitan is committed to offering students opportunities to apply its core values of innovation, integrity, and involvement through project based learning using state of the art technology, school leadership positions, internships, and community service.
Mission Statement
To provide opportunities for integrating academic and occupation related instruction in the area of entrepreneurial arts and sciences.
The goal is to prepare its students to manage and own business enterprises in a 21st century global economy. Students will gain an understanding of successful business practices including finance, investment, research and development, quality control, growth, sales and returns of investments.
It is a theme high school in which students stay with a group of teachers over integrated curriculum cycles to create a supportive learning environment. Partnerships and mentor programs with local businesses and employers will provide connections between school and work.
